Sometimes the seemingly "little" things we do "see the blessing in the mess" have a long-lasting effect on those whose lives we touch with a kind word, helping at the checkout line, and so on. And when I react to situations with patience, humor, or just keeping my mouth shut, it helps ME to feel better too. <br />Editor and Publisher Shelly Burkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13549811506536666763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7264981098690063427.post-38048184512938787292012-01-30T10:55:15.614-06:002012-01-30T10:55:15.614-06:00Very appropriate - working on memorizing the book ...Very appropriate - working on memorizing the book of James (sounds impossible right now, not sure if I can pull it off, but am trying) and his whole first chapter is about "consider it pure joy when . . . " and the ongoing chapters are remembering that our own hearts and tongues are what keep joy and the message of Christ from flowing through us - so thank you for the reminder!! God's Word is in tune everywhere around the world, timely and perfect - and ties us all together!! And isn't it wonderful to know that even when we fail to see "the bless in the mess" or make that choice to rejoice, He still forgives us, and will continue to work in us, that we can impact the world for Christ! Thanks for this Blog Post and sharing your thoughts on God's Word; about seeing blesses in messes and to rejoice by making the right choice that glorifies God. All too often I get caught up with myself and my needs. You reminded me my daily living should be focusing on impacting the world for Christ.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7264981098690063427.post-63224466293022790982012-01-25T12:11:48.086-06:002012-01-25T12:11:48.086-06:00In the book "Pivot", the author Dr. Alan...In the book "Pivot", the author Dr. Alan Zimmerman points out that our feelings follow action. Like in “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”. Psalm 118:24 we need to rejoice so we can be glad. Action first, feelings second. I love that concept, thank you for reminding me to live in the Joy of the LordJill Richardhttp://my-god-is.comnoreply@blogger.com
